• Monitor changes in rules, regulations and legislations in APAC and communicate events with potential business impact internally in due time.
• Identify relevant topics for IKEA Trade Newsletter and various forms of communication that support Global activities associated with customs and trade related activities are understood and impact to IKEA identified.
• Work with the operations and compliance teams in APAC to ensure understanding of initiatives, changes or legislation impacts to working methods, IT or documentation. Support as necessary or as requested to incorporate said changes, initiatives or legislations.
• Responsible for day-to-day compliance activities and operations within in Customs and Trade Compliance function, including, but not limited to classification, customs valuation, free trade agreement programs, AD/CVD, other government agency enforcement through Customs authorities.
• Together with Customs and Trade Compliance manager, establish and maintain internal controls that secure compliance and mitigate risks of non-compliance. Lead or support periodic self-review and audits.
• Together with Customs and Trade Compliance manager, establish and maintain compliance procedures, working methods, and systems/tools requirements. Lead or support when customs compliance issues arise through to resolution. Actively identify and manage risks related to customs compliance, operations and for key stakeholders. 
• Interface with other key IKEA departments that impact or are impacted by Customs functions/operations. Provide customs and trade advice to assist key stakeholder to incorporate customs and compliance into the IKEA value chain delivering both compliance and total lower costs.
• Support global consultancy with input from APAC towards global organizations such as World Trade Organization and World Customs Organization.
• Support Customs and Trade Compliance activities in the areas of audits with external authorities, with ADD/CVD investigations, rulings and cases, single window initiatives and internal expansion projects.
• Contribute to customs relevant training, education and aware programs and tools towards internal and external key stakeholders.
• Contribute to global or regional projects involving trade related topics.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge and analysis skills as business, regulations or systems change to meet the business needs.

• Read and comprehend customs and trade regulation, legislation and administrative requirements
• Developed network of key contacts in the International Trade Community in APAC
• Knowledge of legislative cycles, protocols and government administration implementation within countries of APAC
• Knowledge of and access to monitoring tools and applications specific to government agencies within APAC
• Holistic view how customs and trade impacts and works in the supply chain and how to incorporate customs, trade, and compliance controls into operations
• Good knowledge how to work with external authorities
• Skilled in MS Office package
• Fluency in English (written and oral)
• Strong customs and trade compliance knowledge
• Excellent ability to read, comprehend and apply legal customs and trade legal requirements to supply chain controls
• Ability to present, discuss and influence trade community of company wished position specific to customs and trade relevant government proposals
• Ability to influence outcomes by working with all organizational levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
