Home furnishing is the true heart of IKEA. By using all our products as building blocks, we inspire our customers every day through interior design, store design (both online and in stores), and graphic design. We share our passion for home furnishing and ensure that the customer experience is well thought out at every point, no matter where they encounter IKEA.

As an online merchandising specialist, your goal is to attract and engage visitors in our online channels. You work to provide the best user experience so that people feel connected to our brand and the values we stand for. You will contribute to enabling customers to shop independently, convey home furnishing solutions, and generate interest in "life at home." We are now looking for one Online Merchandising Specialist for our team at the Service Office.

About this work area

In the HF&RD (Home Furnishing & Retail Design) function, you work closely with the Range Specialist and Content Specialist to ensure that we provide our online visitors with the right information at the right place in their shopping journey. The goal is to be more relevant in our communication and help them move from one step to the next in the customer journey.

Your responsibilities include planning and optimizing the layout of IKEA's websites and other digital platforms. You will showcase the width and depth of the IKEA range in an exciting way while simplifying the purchasing process for customers.
You will use your knowledge of consumer lifestyles and "life at home," as well as changes in shopping behavior, to customize how we present products and messages. The goal is to be relevant to customer needs and convert visitors into buyers.

Part of your job is to measure and follow up on web pages by analyzing customer behavior and their preferences. You interpret data and information to provide insights and ideas for improving the digital and omni-channel customer experience, in collaboration with other commercial partners.
You stay updated by continuously monitoring the market and competitors, identifying new techniques that can be implemented commercially.

Your experience
• Good knowledge of UX/UI principles in digital channels and merchandising techniques.
• Good knowledge and motivation to understand the entire customer journey - with a focus on user behavior - in an omni-channel landscape.
• Good familiarity with information architecture related to navigation and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) both in external and internal search.
• In-depth knowledge of home furnishing and life at home - preferably with a commercial background.

We also hope that you have education in areas such as UX/UI/Interaction Design, Digital Marketing or commerce and retail.
