About the job

Reporting to the Customer Relations Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage and oversee the Cashiers and Checkout Team Leaders to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure payment transactions. You will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring that customers have a smooth, safe and enjoyable payment process and leave our store satisfied with their shopping experience.

Your assignment

  • Lead and manage a team of Cashiers including performance management, training and development, succession planning and recruitment of new co-workers.
  • Ensure operational excellence by efficiently resourcing the checkouts and maintaining a smooth and seamless customer flow to optimize customer satisfaction.
  • Manage payment transactions and the cash office with a strong focus on reliability and safety to ensure secure handling of financial transactions.
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and service recovery professionally and promptly
  • Analyze customer and financial key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to create a safe and efficient working environment.

Your profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and fostering team camaraderie.
  • Customer-centric approach with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and deliver results under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
