Hej, we are Álvaro, David and Ramón. We lead the team as Engineering Managers at IKEA for Business, and we want you to join us! Let us explain why.

If you join us, you will take part and influence strategic decisions regarding the design, construction, distribution and maintenance of cloud-based solutions for our business. You will have the opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team (Product, Data, UX and Engineering) and contribute to the design and development of IKEA’s B2B global landscape of solutions since their early stages of development (our hub was founded less than 2 years ago!)

What you'll need to have

To succeed as an Engineer with us if you have experience working in an Agile and DevOps working set-up, you get energized by delivering high-quality software and love contributing to our Engineering culture. We expect you to have knowledge and be willing to contribute to frontend or backend development plus provide advice to other team members. You will also be willing to develop user stories end-to-end.


Some of your main responsibilities will include:

• Development using Microservices technology (Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless, etc... Especially in GCP)
• Develop software in some of the following technologies: HTML / CSS; JavaScript; TypeScript; React-Angular-Vue; Python; Java; Node.js; SQL.
• Collaborate on the definition and implementation of our CD/CI processes.
• Contributing to setting up the organization and defining our ways of working (Design patterns, clean code enthusiast, MVC model, …)
• Collaborate Cross-team between app, cloud & backend, and embedded systems teams
• Bringing in third-party open-source tools and libraries as needed
• Prototyping new ideas, both individually and across teams (we love prototyping and MVP!)
