Group Digital Real Estate & Expansion engineering is recruiting to simplify and modernize our Retail Expansion / Real Estate business processes.

We support, with digital solutions, the development of new markets and stores whilst ensuring the continuous development of existing stores. Everything for providing a safe, secure & sustainable environment for customers and co-workers in all our physical meeting points! Ensuring that they are always clean, tidy and in good condition supporting a positive visitor and co-worker experience and a good continuous impression of the IKEA Brand.

We are enabling this by enabling high quality data capture & communication with our digital solutions and devices across the business.
Our team designs, develops, integrates, and operates digital solutions in our digital portfolio covering sourced solutions and custom solutions where it makes sense. The data and insights from our solutions are used across the business in planning, operations, follow-up and publishing our data to the many digital consumers.
We work closely with our business colleagues to meet their needs and learn together.

Who you are

You should know what it takes to design, develop, and deliver high quality software. You will use and promote modern software engineering principles, encouraging utilisation of proper tools and increase automation to enable our business outcomes.

More specifically we are looking for software engineering experts in: Java, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, REACT and building & integrating back-end/full stack solutions on cloud and cloud agnostic infrastructure whilst always keeping an eye on data quality and other important non-functional requirements (security, resilience, scalability, and maintainability).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- You will be working in empowered, agile digital product teams. Together with Product Owner / Specialist(s), Engineering Manager, and other engineers you will create, maintain, and promote the digital product roadmap ensuring optimized service offering based on the latest technologies to fulfil business needs.

- Develop, run, monitor and support high-quality software of the assigned Product or Service using the right toolsets required and applying Ingka Software Security Directives, to deliver according to requirements and compliance.

- Synchronise software design and architecture by aligning with stakeholders to ensure expected outcomes.

- Lead and promote good software engineering practices within an agile/iterative development approach to improve time to market and fulfill business needs

- Onboard, coach and mentor engineers to secure transfer of competence and a high performing team

- Drive the development of different engineering patterns for different types of Products and Services by working across initiatives within Ingka Group

We’re a new and growing team. We are quite autonomous, self-organizing and self-sufficient in many ways, which means part of our daily work is to define how we get things done together. We are based in Malmö and Helsingborg, but a mix of local and remote work is not a problem.
