Who you are

The Solution Delivery Manager is a key role, responsible for managing digital projects/transformation in a complex ecosystem. This role builds strong collaboration with teams, and stakeholders, across multiple business functions. Embodies the values and culture of IKEA. This role will work lead digital teams within Business Support domain, collaborate across Digital domains, Business Functions, in delivering full scope of the solutions, with zero defects, on time and within budget. This includes outcome-based planning, execution, motivating and caring for teams, steering outcomes by managing risks and roadblocks with a can-do attitude and problem solving. You take an agile, practical approach to delivering outcomes while staying focused on business value delivered. You are passionate about fulfilling new requirements and delivering outcome to our business stakeholders as well as technology service operations. You are a strong communicator, both verbal and written, and are able to drive a common understanding of requirements, statuses, challenges based on data and logic in a timely and effective manner. In addition, you are energized by working both independently and interdependently and cross functions. Last but not least you share and live the IKEA culture and values.

For this role we believe you have, Solid SAP S4/Ariba Program delivery experience. Experience of delivering multi country implementations of SAP SaaS products and SAP S4/HANA platform as a project/program Manager or Delivery Manager. Have strong People Leadership capabilities, building high performing, cohesive and collaborative teams. Must lead by example in line with IKEA values and leadership compass. Is a strategic thinker with strong foundations & proficiency in content in either or both functional or technology area, proven delivery capabilities in leading teams and delivering medium-large projects in the SAP platform. Have demonstrated experience in working with senior stakeholders to build and nurture relationships, manage expectations, and maintain high stakeholder satisfaction. Have proven capabilities also including resourcefulness, resilience, excellent communication, problem solving, critical thinking, strong sense of accountability/ownership, a “Can-do” mindset, proactive & holistic thinking skills which would enable finding positive, constructive solutions and steering through complex or demanding scenarios with agility. Exhibit strong drive, judgement, rigor and initiative to enable teams to deliver effectively and holistically.

You have experience in the following areas:

• Overall 15+ years of experience in SAP and ERP ecosystem
• 7+ years proven experience in delivering medium-large, complex projects/programs across multiple countries
• Must lead by example in line with IKEA values and leadership compass.
• Strong knowledge of the SAP platform and retail domain. Should demonstrate strong rooting in relevant content, be it technology or function.
• Have been a practitioner, and have a strong understanding of various project management and agile frameworks and are able to apply them as needed to drive projects/programs with predictability towards desired outcomes
• Strong formal communication skills verbal, written, presentation, etc.
• Ability to deliver outcomes and unlock/enable business value in complex ecosystems, /project. Strong Planning, execution and risk management skills
• Must have demonstrated ability to identify, Plan and execute for the holistic delivery, by identifying cross functional, cross team dependencies and taking the needed actions to resolve them proactively and in a timely manner.
• Makes effective decisions with speed, based on facts and logic, collaboratively & aligning relevant teams, leadership and stakeholders.
• Strong execution capabilities with ability to do hands-on work on SAP programs.
• Must have deep knowledge in at least one of the SAP modules and should have played senior roles.
• Must have ability to build project plans for large and complex projects cutting across Technology, Data, Change management and Business workstreams
• Leverages critical thinking, conducts holistic & in-depth analysis to bring effective solutions/ processes that drive business and organization agility.
• Ability to effectively challenge supplier solutions, delivery by leveraging the techno-functional content knowledge combined with delivery capability.
• Must have accountability and ownership mindset.
• Exhibits strong drive, judgement, and initiative to deliver effectively and holistically.
• Have strong rigor & perseverance and analyses issues in depth to find effective and long term solutions.

A day in your life with us

As the Solution delivery manager, you will be responsible for On time, full scope, with high quality and within budget delivery of projects//initiatives/transformations. Responsible for Successful implementation and deployment of the SAP platform solutions that meet business requirements. Responsible for alignment of the SAP platform architecture with organizational strategies and future growth plans . Ensure Adoption of solutions and processes that result in improved efficiency and productivity.

Your responsibilities are:

• As a hands-on delivery manager, you will be responsible to drive end to end from planning to go live and beyond.
• Must drive a team working in a matrix organization under various stakeholders
• Has strong communication skills and uses them towards effective stakeholder communications, project reporting and providing the needed and timely visibility and transparency to various teams, leadership and stakeholders.

Detailed

Stakeholder Management

• Identifying key stakeholders and their needs, interests, and expectations.
• Cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders, including business stakeholders, clients, internal teams, and external partners.
• Effective communication skills which drive clarity and purpose, while being compassionate. This includes but not limited to active listening, messaging and seeking and receiving response.
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of project progress, risks, and opportunities in a timely manner.
• Managing stakeholder expectations and addressing concerns proactively.
• Understanding and Leveraging stakeholder feedback to drive improvements and maintain a high level of satisfaction.

Delivery, Planning and Execution

• Applies the in-depth understanding of various delivery models and methodologies, project processes and retail industry practices to deliver outcomes with speed and agility.
• Has a deep understanding of SAP platforms, business and functional domain and is able to apply this knowledge to ask the relevant questions and steer the team towards effective outcomes aligned to strategic objectives.
• Build detailed project plan across business, technology, data, change management and testing tracks. Identify the dependencies between the track and the risk to milestones
• Drive the day-to-day execution across tracks run by a mix of matrix organization and suppliers
• Manages communications, reporting and escalation to the relevant team, leadership and stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensures deliverables, stage gate criteria and other delivery relevant activities and associated risks are completed and communicated in a timely manner.
• Ensures delivery of full scope of solutions/projects on schedule, with zero defects and within budget.

Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:

• Applies critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyzing and navigate complex issues and identifying creative and effective solutions.
• Develops understanding and knowledge of existing solutions within the technology-process-delivery ecosystem and weighs various options to make decisions on build/reuse existing solutions & capabilities.
