Who you are

・University degree (Logistics, Economics, Business Administration or related) or 1-2 years’ experience in the area of expertise (additional supply chain experience is a plus)
・ Retail/home furnishing/supply chain/customer service experience and interest
・ Confident and clear communication on English both written and verbal
・ Excellent computer skills and high proficiency on Microsoft Office
・ Proven analytical and numeric skills and ability to identify required actions
・ Experience in problem solving and improving ways of working
・ Understanding of the customer needs, demands and expectations on the market
・ Market/industry intelligence: understanding of KPIs used for success measures for own Function
・Resident in Japan with full working rights
・Business level English and Japanese

A day in your life with us

・ Responsible for seamlessly enabling daily operations and an efficient distribution network on the market by securing and end to end planning and fulfilment process through gathering, processing, analysing and sharing goods flow information and trends, identifying possible risks and proposing actions to prevent and providing accurate flow and capacity plans.
・ Responsible for assessing current and planned fulfilment unit capacity on the market in terms of short, mid and long-term needs and identify solutions in order to enable securing agreed goals on availability and keeping lead time promise at the lowest possible cost.
・ Responsible for supporting operations in close cooperation with the whole Fulfilment Availability and Support functions in any exceptional or emergency situation regarding flow, stock and capacity (e.g. commercial activities and campaigns, supply problems, unexpected peaks)
・ Responsible for developing local improvements in working methods, systems and tools and for implementing global routines, systems solutions and ways of working with all partners in the Supply Chain, Retail and Customer Fulfilment on the market, in close cooperation and co-creation with the Group Flow and Capacity Planning to secure continuous improvement.
・Contribute with both knowledge and expertise to optimal operational and multichannel development and tendering activities as well as to all matrices, global initiatives and competence networks.
・Responsible for actively supporting the fulfilment units with securing agreed goals on the use of existing fulfilment unit capacity and identifying and analysing capacity constraints through coaching and supporting with identified improvement potentials to secure smooth constraint planning and maximise commercial opportunities.
・ Responsible for promoting and stimulating entrepreneurial orientation and contribution to development and innovation for the own organisation and total IKEA in close cooperation with the Group Functions.
・ Responsible for considering the parameters connected to the Customer Fulfilment sustainability agenda on the market in flow and capacity planning across all touchpoints.
・ Contribute to the optimal replenishment solution on fulfilment unit level, through reviewing and confirming fulfilment unit capacity situation and the maximum lead times, analysing the outcome of optimisation and providing corrective input.

Our head office is on the 5th floor of the Tokyo-Bay store. The style of working is hybrid; we are welcomed to work in the office 2-3 times a week and work from home the remainder. 【Employment Status】
- Full-time regular employee- 40 hours per week contract
