JOB TYPE – Permanent, Full time Hourly Associate, ON SITE!!

For Carpenter: there is painting, cutting boards and installing flooring. We use partition walls specific for IKEA’s use, so installation of those. Heavy lifting and lots of walking and ladder work – must be able to do. Supporting with maintenance of the floor displays; safety is huge so making sure the installation of different architectural features and installation of needs for different displays is always top of mind. Must be able to work both in a team and individually.
The shifts are currently Monday- Friday, from 6:30a-2:45pm. There may be a need to support the store on a weekend or evenings during peak season or to support with the installation of large-scale projects. The possibility of overnights for projects is also possible but rare.

HOURS – From 34-40 hours per week
SHIFT – Seeking work schedule availability open on all days including Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday as a minimum requirement. The operations generally range between the window of 6am-4pm / 8hr shifts, the work schedules are published three weeks in advance.

PAY – The starting rate/salary for this position ranges from $21.07 - 30 and will be based on relevant work experience.

What you'll be doing day to day

You’ll help enhance the in-store customer experience by creating a strong visual impression in line with the IKEA Brand.
• Constructing, building, and preparing in-store media to secure range presentation and the IKEA visual identity.
• Reducing the environmental footprint by working consciously with resources and materials and maximizing opportunities to recycle and reuse materials.
• Staying up to date and knowledgeable about carpentry trends to increase quality and efficiency.
