For this role, we believe you have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics or a related field combined with 10-15 years with increased responsibility in finance-related fields, 5+ years as a manager with experience in larger international structure and that you are professionally qualified accountant ACA/ACCA or local equivalent. In addition, you have proven skills in developing people and providing support, coaching, training and career direction to others as well as the ability to communicate confidently and clearly in both Danish and English combined with a strong ability to prioritize, provide clear directions and multi-task.

You know the following areas:
• Excellent knowledge of the measurement, processing and communication of financial information regarding economic entities, which aims to document the organizations’ resource management.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial reporting rules and TAX rules, standards and manuals in Denmark, along with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Advanced knowledge of how to assess, analyze and mitigate risks in a business environment.
• Excellent knowledge of how to plan, and measure financial records in compliance with internal and external regulations and ensure value for money in reaching business objectives and long-term profitable growth.
• Good understanding of data science, new technologies, analytics and their wide-ranging application in the business context.
• Advanced knowledge of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders in a large international organization.
• Good knowledge of project management processes including methods and tools; and how to integrate them.
• Good knowledge of the customer needs, demands and expectations in the markets and translate them into business.
• To steer, advise, monitor and support the business in a proactive way on direct and indirect Tax matters.
• Knowledge to SAP but not a must.

Your responsibilities

You will:
• Lead the development of the financial controlling team based on IKEA’s global finance, organizational and people development directions to secure the right competencies, performance and succession.
• Accountable for securing, setting up and maintaining the financial structures to follow up cost and performance and support decision-making in line with global frameworks.
• Lead close cooperation with Business Navigation to create insight into costs and performance and support business steering based on standard global frameworks (e.g. accounting, reporting, internal control).
• Lead and supervise local and/or centralized Accounting & Reporting Operations to ensure relevant, complete, accurate and timely closings and Financial and Management reporting, based on standard global frameworks and local (Denmark’s) legal and tax requirements.
• Accountable for variance analysis, reviewing and challenging reported actuals and forecasts and the first level of commentary.
• Accountable for cooperation with Group Financial Controlling (matrix), Group Tax and Country organization to minimize deviations from standard global frameworks for local business needs and compliance reasons and secure effective ways of working. Contributes to global projects and local execution (as part of these projects) to simplifying, harmonizing and automating financial operations and reporting.
• Secure effective governance and supervise solid support for country management with insight into financial performance & position, liquidity, investment decisions and financial planning.
• Accountable for effective implementation of the internal control framework in the country's financial operations and report on the country and global level on effectiveness.
• Manage tax risks and opportunities through the implementation, administration and monitoring of a tax control framework.
• Manage the relationship with the external auditor and enable an efficient and effective external audit process; manage the relationship with tax authorities in the country and manage TX audits in cooperation with Group Tax.
• Secure close cooperation with Legal and Tax teams to ensure compliance with legal and tax requirements. Accountable for tax compliance for Less complex and standard countries.
• Secure and maintain a connection with and between core areas, business owners, group functions, and process teams within the Ingka Group (Global).
• Secure cross-organizational readiness and continued business growth in terms of competence, performance, and succession by enabling an end-to-end approach.
• Ensure a safe environment for co-workers and external consultants and contractors by IKEA’s policies.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• The position is an average of 37 hours per week on an individual contract. Overtime is reflected in the salary. Working hours are between 8-16 on weekdays, but we are flexible, and you can also work from home.
• Salary within IKEA's salary policy based on your skills and including pension.
• In this position, you will have a reference to the Country CFO and the position is in the Service Office (Head Office), IKEA Taastrup.
