Capabilities:

• Demonstrates strong IKEA leadership skills, by using sound judgements to make timely and effective decisions
• Ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of Co-worker communication as an integrated part of the business
• Excellent interpersonal skills and capability to manage internal stakeholders
• Ability to communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice
• Ability to take a leading role in Co-worker communication with the business goal, co-workers and public trust in focus

Requirements:

• Proven track record of working with works councils and trade unions, labour law knowledge is a plus
• Minimum of 8 years proven experience in internal communication, external communication experience is a plus
• Strong documented leadership skills – experience in leading up to three team members
• Senior experience with working with strategic communication and/or business leadership
• Experience with crisis communication
• Preferred: Knowledge of the IKEA brand, culture, values and way of working
• Strong communication skills in German and English (spoken and written)
• Extensive experience of using insights to formulate communication strategies, plans and activities to meet IKEA business and receiver needs

Your responsibilities

• In line with global plans, develop, lead and implements the country co-worker communication strategy and secures the communication process by defining, planning, executing and following up
• Develops and oversee delivery off the market Co-worker communication agenda, content and channels, keeping with the strategy for co-worker communication and in line with the IKEA values, driving higher co-worker engagement and brand trust.
• Implement standards and guidelines on Co-worker communication and ensures the content is market relevant, drives co-worker engagement, positions IKEA as a good employer and drives trust
• Lead, coach and develop an internal communication team to ensure set goals are achieved
• Responsible for interaction with key stakeholders. Applies stakeholder management principals in all interactions to develop a deep understanding of stakeholder drivers and target communication effectively
• Proactively collaborates with global Group Communication to improve the overall development of the Co-worker communication strategy
• Serves as a coach and sparring partner to managers when it comes to (co-workers) communication enabling the organization to lead with communication

To lead internal communication flow in the market and secure the communication process by defining, planning, executing and following up communication to relevant stakeholders.
